Attachmate Corp. has announced that Attachmate Reflection for IBM 2007 has been vendor-validated for Citrix XenApp (previously known as Citrix Presentation Server) in the Citrix Ready program, becoming the first terminal emulation product to be Citrix Ready vendor-validated for Citrix XenApp. Attachmate, a decade-long Citrix partner, allows Citrix customers seamless and secure access to legacy applications wherever and whenever access is required.

Attachmate provides reliable, secure connectivity from Microsoft Windows, Macintosh, Linux and UNIX desktop clients, through Citrix XenApp to mainframe-based mission critical applications via Attachmate's Reflection, EXTRA!, and INFOConnect terminal emulation offerings.

"As a user of Attachmate products on Citrix for the last 10 years, I have been very satisfied with Attachmate's exceptional service and their support of the platform," said Brian Swan, manager of network services at Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. "Attachmate, with its continued commitment to the Citrix platform, is yet again the front runner. As the only terminal emulation solution with a Citrix Ready designation, I know that we can count on Attachmate to provide the best emulation solution on the market for the Citrix environment. This has allowed us to expand our client environment and deliver unmatched service to our customers."

The Citrix Ready vendor-validation affirms that Attachmate Reflection for IBM 2007 has been validated to work with Citrix XenApp. In addition to providing vendors with a verification process through which they can demonstrate compatibility with Citrix solutions, Citrix is backing its Citrix Ready program with marketing efforts to drive visibility and demand for participating vendors' products.

"Attaining the Citrix Ready validation for Attachmate's new-generation host access products is a testament to our commitment to building applications for the Citrix platform," said Paul Neutz, director of business development at Attachmate. "Our long-term partnership with Citrix has resulted in business value to partners and joint customers, who directly benefit from better products designed for Citrix environments."

Joint customers of Attachmate and Citrix XenApp achieve the following benefits:

§      Centralized installation, deployment and updates of Attachmate software

§      Enhanced user mobility from location-to-location, workstation-to-workstation and device-to-device while maintaining secure and reliable host access

§      Ultimate flexibility in delivering terminal emulation through Citrix-architecture, including multi-platform ICA clients, and Web browser-based access

Attachmate EXTRA!, INFOConnect, Reflection and Reflection for the Web give users of Citrix XenApp network access to legacy applications and data residing on virtually any legacy host system, including IBM System i, System z, UNIX, OpenVMS, HP, Unisys, Airlines, and Tandem.
