    Having been a consultant who has had the opportunity to work for clients remotely, I have experienced the same things you mentioned in the article. The biggest thing to get both your mind, and others in your house, is that when you are in the home office, it's as if you are at work. Too bad telecommuting isn't catching on more. It's a shame that companies offshore jobs overseas, but will refuse to allow a "local" person the same ability to work remotely. "It's not our policy" is very hypocritical when the same company uses a firm in Bangalore..... Hopefully the US companies will come to realize that the distributed workforce is a good thing, both for the company in expenses and in reducing greenhouse emissions on the commute. Perhaps a corporate tax break for allowing telecommuting..........
