I have a lan/ip printer, device description being 3812 etc. The problem I am having is to override the draw selection to use Drawer/Tray 3. I override the print file to (DRAWER-3) but the actual override ends up as *E1? This would seem to be because on creating the device description the defaults are "Paper source 1 = Tray 1, Paper source 2 = Tray 2 and Envelope source Tray 3". Is there a way to disable this? so the resultant spoolfile will show Drawer 3 (and not *E1) when the override is Drawer 3? As soon as I post this I seem to have found the answer. The override I used originally was: OVRPRTF FILE(XXXXX) DRAWER(0000003)and this did direct to *E1 (but works fine for any other numbered tray assignments). By using an override of: OVRPRTF FILE(XXXXX) DRAWER(3) - the draw selected remains 3!
