We have an Ibm 3582 tape drive attached to 2 servers and partioned for 2 servers. Was wondering if there is a way to disable the tape magazine check when you remove a tape magazine. Each time you remove a magazine and put it back in, the tape drive goes thru a check of all slots on both partions. If a tape is in the drive when this happens, the loader returns it to the I/E slot. We want to run different backups at diffent times removing tapes when completed. WIth this check of slots, it makes it difficult. I know you can use the move tape function on the machine, but this is cumbersome. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Jeff
