Thanks. Paul, Check your ODBC driver configuration. Under the Performance tab there is a checkbox for Lazy Close Support. If this is checked, uncheck it and see if that helps. Bill

We run a V5r2m0 aS400. We execute Access queries (SQLcommands) on AS400 data files (not DB2). It seems those queries acquired disk space and did not release it at the end of the query. We find that that the amount of free space diminishes all day long. Things return to normal at night. Is there a switch in Access ou ODBC or AS400 system values to drop the temp file after completion of the query. Thanks. Paul.
