  • Setting Up Advanced Job Scheduler

The company I work for is trying the trial version of Advanced Job Scheduler. We have successfully set up and ran many of our jobs. The problem is setting up our menu driven jobs. Most of these require the parameters to be entered manually. Such as dates, and delivery codes. The parameters change every day. Is there a way to set these jobs up in AJS? If you use the CALL PGM command, how do you define the parameters? Maybe Robot would be better. But more expensive.

    Setting Up Advanced Job Scheduler

I am not sure I understand your question. If you try to call a program from a command line you can still put in the parms. You do this same exact thing inside the AJS. Just prompt the call statement. One big helpful hint for you is to make sure you sequence the steps inside a group with room between the sequence numbers. This will help you down the road if you need to add things in between each sequence. Scott
