Excel Technical Search - IBM System i5 Staffing Specialists since 1980. Full-time Contractor needed, possibly 40 - 45 hours per week, hours flexible between 7:30AM - 5:30PM on-site work only. No part-timers. Need solid RPG IV and some ILE software experience. Any Java a plus. Immediate need to assist with re-writing custom sytems. Involves report changes, system updates, maintenance issues. Mostly RPG IV & ILE. Must communicate clearly with staff and with users. Small shop, just "hands-on" manager and one Sr P/A. Any knowledge of HSF (Horrible Spreadsheet Format) would be a plus, but not required. This is a freeware system. The Jakarta POI (Poor Obfuscation Implementation) API is a fantastic way for Java programmers to access Microsoft document formats. The most mature API from Jakarta POI is the HSSF (Horrible Spreadsheet Format) API, which accesses Microsoft Excel documents.
