Will monitor critical path production scheduling and escalate problems accordingly. Will do system analysis for problem determination, hardware requirements, system performance, and general maintenance on hardware. Will be responsible for the daily procedures to support an i550 O/S V5R4 partitioned environment as well as doing: production support, PTF installation and licensed programs, setting and configuration of new system devices (printers, scanners and communication hardware) and tape management: tape drive, backups/restore and BRMS functionality. Major pluses include exp. with disaster recovery plans and system upgrades.
