AS400 / RPG Sr. Programmer Analyst / Project Leader - Fulltime 90-95k base (slight flex) Northern New Jersey Company . is looking for a senior, hands on and technical candidate to join their very supportive team ASAP. Prior experience needed: Must be solid in RPG 400 – Needs at least some knowledge of ILE. Candidates will be working in RPG warehouse systems in addition to handling a number of other projects. Bar coding and Edi experience are pluses. Must have lead projects. What’s Needed Now: A leader, a doer and a teacher. This candidate will be the first team member to learn Java and will then teach it to the team. Initially candidate will be working in RPG to learn the system but will then move to Java. Candidate has to be an experienced RPG developer with a thirst to learn new things. Co. is not interested in someone who will do the same thing the same way from now to Medicare. Candidates with Java, VB or client-server experience would be great. Prior consulting experience is fine too. However, don't forget that this spot starts with a solid RPG person first. If a candidate can’t bring that to the table, they’ll never get to open a Java book at training classes.
