This is a 3 month contract-to-hire position offering competitive base salary, comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for career advancement. You will work in a professional team of JD Edwards systems business analysts responsible for providing end user support ensuring correct business functionality to a large end user customer base. The job includes all the traditional aspects of Business Analysis to document business practices within our organization. Applicants should be familiar with and comfortable working within, all phases of the system life cycle. Major Duties & Responsibilities: · Work effectively with other support team members and IT staff in ongoing design, testing and support of business application system needs · Duties involve providing responsible technical and professional assistance to departments, troubleshooting day-to-day software, hardware, databases, and related application issues · Assist in effort to minimize customizations, utilizing system functionality as designed · Assist in security of business data to ensure accurate and appropriate use of resources, data and end user separation of duties · Assist in coordination for development and installation of automated management system · Perform as project manager coordinating implementation planning and documentation · Coordinate testing activities among various areas for software releases including end user training and documentation · Utilize resources effectively to bring software solutions to completion. Resources may include team, development staff, vendors or consultants. Completion involves meeting milestones, benchmarks, go live and go live support activities · Develop and maintain a comprehensive library of support staff documentation Job Requirements: · At least 10 years of experience as a business analyst in the development, implementation and evaluation of business methods and procedures within JD Edwards OneWorld and EnterpriseOne Suite · Specialized functional experience with JD Edwards business applications and functionality, Financial Suite (General Ledger and General Accounting), Workforce Management (Human Resource, Benefits, Employee Performance and Payroll Management) modules · Specializing in functional and technical analytical experience (change management, object management workbench, debugging skills, event rules, security, task view explorer, application workflows, ERP system architecture, ESU’s, Software request, etc.) · Experience with upgrade and implementations of OneWorld Xe > E1 8.10 > E1 8.12 · Familiarity with Generally Accepted Governmental Accounting Standards · Work includes development and introduction of more efficient and effective methods to include introduction or revision of automated system · Able to work effectively with end users to perform a thorough analysis of business operations and procedures with an eye towards increasing efficiency and productivity · Solid written & verbal communication skills · Strong analytical and solution/problem solving skills · Capable of prioritizing and task management · Take ownership of an aspect or task on a project with little to no assistance · Produce comprehensive documents outlining user specifications, business processes, functional specifications and system recommendations · Actively communicate technical and business aspects of work efforts to promote team player atmosphere · Manage time, utilize system tools and resources effectively and provide timely status reports to management .
