    Hello Members, I am the Director of Recruiting with a human resource consulting firm called TEK Solutions. We presently have a partnership with an IBM Premier Business Partner and are seeking an AS/400 Programmer Analyst for a Virginia State agency located in Richmond, Virginia. The ideal candidate must have experience with IBM Content Manager. Title: Systems Analyst Performs detailed systems analysis and programming primarily on the AS/400 iSeries as well as mentoring less experienced programmers. Approximately 30% of their time will be in the performance of detailed analyses, and 50% of their time they will be actively employed programming. This position may be responsible for support of systems after business hours if a need arises. Keeps management and users informed as to progress and problems needing their attention. Review with users and management, program requirements, tests results, procedures, and controls to ensure reports, screen formats, formulas, and procedures meet the users' and the agency's needs. Conduct detailed system and program walk-throughs with IS staff and users as needed. Ensure that the project status system is updated on a timely basis. Project tracking and the writing of Definition/Analysis and Design documents. Experience in unit testing and in the development of Test Plans, test data and test cases. Perform analysis and design for medium-sized to large development/maintenance projects. Plan projects by developing logical design, alternatives, specific tasks and determining impact on other areas. Develop work plan and maintain it while monitoring the project through completion. Provide guidance and supervision, and review and approve the work of the project team members in the writing of specifications, programming, testing, and documentation. Ensure all systems, program and operations documentation is accurate, complete, understandable, and meets standards. Train user and IS staff in use of new or changed system functions. Design, code, test, debug, and document new or existing programs needing development, modifications, program error resolutions, or enhancements. And may be called upon to perform other duties as necessary. Skills Needed: 3-5 years experience in DB2, COBOL ILE and ILE CLP in both interactive and batch environments on the AS/400 (iSeries) platform Previous experience in a WAF to Content Manager conversion a major plus. Experience in JAVA, HTML, Javascript, Java Server Pages (JSP) and Application security. Jbuilder, Websphere and Visual Basic experience a plus. .
