Progressive organization is seeking a leader who can manage their growing technology needs for their iSeries system. They will be adding Linux on their iSeries System. Monitor system performance, diagnose performance problems, recommend actions to balance iSeries computer system loads. Recommend and perform both hardware and software configurations, upgrades and replacements. Manage user accounts and system resources. Support the Operations staff in the areas of data backup and protection. Define and implement Disaster Recovery policies and procedures. Manage security on the iSeries systems. Participate in product introduction efforts as they involve the iSeries. Must have experience with implementation and management of at least one major mirroring product. Additional experience in one or more of the following areas is very desirable: WAS, Linux. Strong analytical skills and experience, ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Prefer a Degree.
