Our client will relocate. 50,000 – 62,000 + 10% Bonus Columbus, OH This position is responsible for the design, development and on-going support of reporting & analytical solutions for the Finance/Accounting community within the Lawson environment with emphasis on HR, Payroll and Benefits. Must be able to work with all levels of the user community in developing solution designs, then work either independently or as a team member to take that design to completion, including: project plan, developing and monitoring; interfacing with I/T to implement underlying infrastructure; developing data validation strategies; report design and development; security development; end user training; software deployment; and all other facets of a complete system development life cycle. Daily responsibilities include: Analysis and Design - Work with the HR department management and user groups to identify, analyze, and document requirements for implementation of the Lawson HR self service, e-recruiting, HR reporting, and other HR-related applications. Work with other Financial systems and Business Intelligence system developers insuring that interfaces appropriately provide information for other processes and reporting applications. Design and document complex data processes, reporting requirements and technical specifications. Creates and maintains data governance and reporting strategies that reduce data redundancy wherever possible. Create and maintain user documentation Application Development- Codes, tests and documents appropriate data processes, stored procedures or reporting & analytic applications using industry proven ‘best-practices’ Must be proficient with RPG, ILE, subfiles, on AS/400 Mut be proficient with Lawson Software, specifically Payroll, and HR. Coordinate and deploy HR applications and report changes to the production environment Develop and execute unit, system integration, and user acceptance test plans and plays an active role in project rollouts. Create and maintain support documentation Operational – Investigates and assist in the resolution of any day-to-day Lawson application issues Support as required user security, application administration, software installs, upgrades, etc Fulfill complex ad-hoc query/analysis/reporting requests submitted by business users. Conduct technical reviews and mentors other developers when appropriate. Provide user training. Project Management - Prepare Project Plans including project definition, scope, resources and scheduling on medium to large projects Execute tasks according to implementation project plans Monitor, track and be accountable for project progress, deliverable, quality assurance and stakeholder relationships Provide full and accurate project communication with senior IT and business management Oversee multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously Manage scope, budget, issue identification and resolution and have ability to conduct risk assessment and bring to attention to issues which may impact project timelines and deliverables. Develop testing and change management processes Skills Must have excellent communications and interpersonal skills with ability to interact with, prepare and make project presentations to all levels of management.
