While this is truly a management position, you must be able to have technical credibility to manage technical staff and excellent customer service skills to be empathetic with their 50 remote customers. Must be able to do hardware and software evaluation, upgrades and impact analysis as well as evaluate and negotiate contracts with vendors, project management, budgets, R.O.I., "Best Practices" knowledge. Manage the hiring of technical staff, reviews, managing hours and payroll budgets, service contracts. Responsible for Level One technical support. Should be well versed in Windows 2003 Server, Exchange 2003, Active Directory, LAN/WAN environment, VLAN, VPN's, experienced with Contingency Planning, Disaster Planning, enterprise firewall and anti-virus servers and strategy.
