Sr. iSeries Systems Engineer - Architech - Viva Las Vegas - Be challenged with the on-going operation, architectural design, implementation, and security of this clients strategic IBM iSeries platform. Have direct responsibility for analysis, development, engineering, diagnosis, and maintenance of the iSeries (AS/400) platform, programs, and procedures to ensure peak performance and high reliability, developing and implementing strategic plans for iSeries platforms, while providing expert assistance to Operations, and software development staff for system issues, problem determination, and new technologies. Minimum 5 years experience in the design, operation and administration of multiple computer systems, including multiple iSeries systems and inter-operation with other platforms. Experience with production systems, support, programming, change management processes, and systems development, iSeries (AS/400) hardware, software, communications, system security is a must. Pluses include: Java on AS/400, Tibco, Project Management; capacity planning, systems management, organization and planning, advanced CL, SQL, and RPG programming, DB2/400, AS/400 Client Access and Query tools, DBU, Implementer, Showcase, ROBOT.
