Be the primary technical person supporting the design, development, and maintenance of business intelligence systems. This highly visible position will be the focal point of providing business intelligence solutions and will provide the basis for operational, financial, and executive level managers to better review and manage the business. In addition to providing these types of solutions, this position will have the opportunity to utilize both creative and technical prowess of various technologies to automate and publish reports in the most expedient and effective manner. The candidate must be thoroughly familiar with the Cognos suite of products including DecisionStream, Impromptu, Powerplay, and Consolidation (Cognos Finance). A mastering of the SQL language is required. Knowledge of Windows scripting technologies and Windows API’s are highly desirable, but not required. In conjunction with the technical expertise is the requirement for the candidate to be reasonably well-versed with accounting principles. Two key areas will be the support of our Finance and Marketing groups. Want work experience with BPCS or other major ERP systems on an AS/400 platform, along with some experience with Visual Basic and Excel.
