Local (Tampa) area candidates strongly preferred. Out of state candidates will be considered however, there is NO relocation assistance available. You will be responsible for development, maintenance and implementation of cost effective business applications. Will assist with the analysis and/or design of business systems. Prepare portions of design documents for large-scale projects. Prepare programming specifications from general specifications. Research and recommend file designs and record structures. Design efficient, debugged and documented program code. Assist in the development and execution of system test plans. Develop and test programs and system enhancements. Provide daily on call support for Production, Model Office and Test environments. Multiple platform (PC, AS400 and Mainframe) support. Research and assist in the resolution of system problems. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 4 years experience in a native AS400 environment. 3-4 years experience developing and maintaining RPG programs including at least 2 years RPG400, CL, and current RPGIV/ILE. Minimum of 2 years AS400 SQL/400 or WRKQRY experience. Experience in a Windows desktop environment. Strong analysis and design experience; ability to work closely with customers. Solid verbal and written communication skills required. Must have a stable work history (no job hoppers). Experience designing and implementing high volume, mission critical, productions systems. Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident (Green Card holder). Skills Desired: Telemarketing applications, Datawarehouse tools (Showcase preferred), PC skills including Visual Basic development, ODBC Drivers and MS Excel.
