SENIOR PROGRAMMER ANALYST for the City of Ketchikan, Alaska, Finance Department. Provide system analysis and programming support for the Information Technology Division, assists and advises other departments on data processing. Ability to define, develop, test, analyze and maintain new software applications to support business requirements. Requires a college diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or software engineering and/or 7-years equivalent work experience. Level of experience typified by 6-years employment in the area of computer programming and knowledge of various forms of RPG & CL required. Efficiency in SQL is a plus. System analyst duties and/or work with a local government and/or utility company and experience in I-Series/400 operation preferred. Must possess good interpersonal and oral communication skills.
