My first IT job was a summer position in 1980 on a System/32. Since that time, I have accrued experience on every IBM midrange platform created.

Today I have 2 iSeries certifications and currently a Senior Technical Specialist. I have designed applications, written code and managed projects for a number of clients.

My resume included programming skills in ILE RPG, RPG III and RPG II. I am well versed in PDM, SDA, RLU, SEU as well as WSDSc. I have also dabbled in COBOL on the iSeries in the past.

From an applications point of view, I have written, installed and supported software for companies using A/P, A/R, G/L, Wholesale Distribution software, Lot/Serial control, Payroll, and banking. I have also written custom applications to handle sports franchise ticket subscriptions, professional management associations and truck dispatching systems.

In supporting iSeries platforms, I have also managed LAN and WAN networks. I have configured and maintained Cisco Routers, managed MPLS and FrameRelay networks. I am also well versed with legacy communications protocols (BSC, SNA, APPC-APPN, Enterprise Extender, SDLC, etc.).

I have worked with many 3rd party iSeries products including Robot, Quadrant FastFax and TL Ashford.

I have completed the classroom requirement for PMI's PMP designation and I am also studying ITIL Foundations.

I am available in the Greater Toronto Area (416/905 area codes) for local contract or full time employment. I am also available in remote situations with optional regular face-to-face interaction. I have worked for Canadian companies with US parents and have travelled to the US to support those organizations. I am also eligble for a UK "Right of Abode" if the right situation presents itself.
