I've most of my experience in cross platform development out of which most is with AS/400 and VB. The other is with Unix and VB but not database related. It was pure socket server [unix] and socket client [VB]. All the AS400 related ones are business, finance, reporting and machine controls. I'd be glad to answer your queries in VB/AS400 related issues. Since 1995 Ver-1 onwards i work in VB. Just learning VB.NET with New Horizons also. RV
