You don't have to use a pointer (although I think it is a very clean method), you do have to use the offset positions in the trigger buffer to find the before/after images. Many people hard-coded the position of the before/after images and this causes a problem because at V5R1 this position changes. As long as you use the offsets provided to find the images you will be fine. Scott Mildenberger

V5R2 Triggers

I've heard rumors that with 5.2, triggers must be coded to accept the before/after image via pointer instead of the alternative method of coding the specific offset information in a DS that is passed into the trigger program via OS/400. Does anyone know any information regarding this?
