Where can I get the template definition for the output of DSPFD? I am interested in what each field in the QWHFDMBR template means.

Template definition

Outfile for command DSPFFD is QSYS/QADSPFFD with record format QWHDRFFD. QWHFDMBR is record format for several outfiles for DSPFD: QAFDMBR option *MBR, QAFDMBRL option *MBRLIST..... If you are looking for field definition in QADSPFFD file you may create outfile for any file on a system: DSPFFD FILE(xxxFILE) OUTPUT(*OUTFILE) OUTFILE(QTEMP/Q). Then run SQL : SELECT * FROM QTEMP/Q and prompt field selection(F4). F11 will give field information. You may also use QRY400 or any other avalable tool for created outfile to get field information. It is not shortest way, but it works.
