Changing Table using SQL-ALTER

Hi, I have have tried to change a physical file using SQL ALTER-statement insteed of using the normal way with DDS-source etc. It seems to work just fine, but my index linked to this PF do not include the new field automaticly? I guess I could just DROP and reCREATE those indexes, but I wonder if someone knew another/easier way of rebuilding those indexes?

I may be confused, but what do you mean when you say that the index does not include the new field? An index is built over selected key fields and does not involve the other non key fields in the file. You can use an index in an RPG F Spec, but that is not the recommended way to access data from an index. Can you clarify that? Kevin
