I want to create a webservice that "speaks" XML on my AS400. BUT: 1) I still have V4R2, although that should be upgraded to v5r2 in the next few months. Is XML web service a possibility on V4R2 ? 2) I want to write a web service that I can communicate with using .NET applications, something on a hand-held pc scanner of some sort to automate / streamline some business processes. 3) I'd like to write something myself rather than purchasing anybody's software.
