  • Net Server File share access

We have an application that from the 400 use STRPCCMD to open a file in a shared directory under ROOT of the IFS. I don't have the shared directory mapped but am accessing it via \SERVERNAMEFOLDERETC. The problem that we are having is that the first time the command is executed, a get a permission denied error. If I then go through Network Neighborhood and access the 400 via the Net server share name, I get a signon box and from then on can run the program with no problem. Does anyone know what I can do the get the signon box with having to access the 400 via network neighborhood first? Any help appreciated.
