  • Access denied to IFS folder

I have created a shared folder in the IFS root directory for a user to retrieve data from on her PC (by creating a network drive map through Windows Explorer). I have set all permissions to the folder for PUBLIC. I have set the user up in the distribution directory so that she can run a program and have the PC document that it creates placed in the folder. However, when she attempts to access the folder, she gets an 'Access denied' message. Her user profile is set up with User Type *PGMR, and she has Special Authorities *SAVSYS, *ALLOBJ, and *JOBCTL. What am I missing? Thanks for any help!

    Access denied to IFS folder

Look at the file share you created in Netserver, my guess is that it is set to Read Only. That's that only way I can think of that a user with *ALLOBJ wouldn't have access to something. Scott Mildenberger
