  • FTP and end of file mark

Which command are you using to create the text file on the AS400? CPYTOPCD, CPYTOIMPF? Or are you FTP'ing a PF? Thanks

Wouldn't the TXT file then be EBCDIC?

FTP and end of file mark

I am using FTP to bring a file down from the AS/400 to a .TXT file on my hard drive. This file is then sent over the internet to the bank. However, my FTP is writing an end of file mark at the end of the PC file. The bank says it cannot accept this. Is there a way to prevent this EOF mark from being written? The rest of the file is ok. I appreciate any help. Pat

FTP and end of file mark

I solved my problem by using the CPYTOSTMF and copying the file to a folder in the IFS. I mapped a drive and was able to send this file off in the correct format - no EOF mark. Thank you all for your input. Pat
