Hi, unfortunattely i have not used sbmnwscmd. Have you thought to use the run remote command (runrmtcmd)in a cl; With runrmtcmd you can call a .bat file on your server that will start the service you want. For the above you only need the ip address of your server. I hope i helped. Regards

SBMNWSCMD running on 5.2
Has any body had dealings with SBMNWSCMD ? I am trying to run a job on W2000 server using this command. I have had the remote command as *.bat/exe etc but there is always a job running on the iSeries until the W2000 job ends. I need some way of initiating a job on the server(IXS card) with out the job taking up a slot on the iSeries. The particular job I am trying to start is nserver( Lotus notes) - Ive been told I can start this as a W2000 service but that not what I want. Thanks for any help George
