When transferring data from/to our iSeries form a W2K server, the W2K server network connection becomes inoperational. It happens when trying to install a hostondemand client to the W2K machine and also when trying to ftp from the W2K machine to the iSeries. Does anyone have an idea what causes this problem and/or have a remedy ? I don't even know where to start looking... Regards, Daniel. mailto:daniel.ceuppens@euro-accountant.com

You seem to have the mistaken impression that SSL is an application level protocol. Actually, SSL is handled automatically by the browser and the HTTP Server. Your CGI techniques don't change at all. Refer to the HTTP Server Webmaster's Guide for details. As I recall the steps go something like this:- [*]order an SSL certificate from Verisign or a similar authority[*]use Certificate Manager to install the certificate on your AS/400[*]add a couple of SSL directives to your HTTP Server configuration[*]restart the HTTP Sever[*]prefix your html hyperlinks with https:// (rather than http://).[/list]That's about it. Nathan.
