  • SNDDST with Subject

Prior to SNDDST, CHGDOCD DOC(doc ID) FLR(folder) SUBJECT(("whatever" *ADD)) Keep in mind that documents can have multiple subjects. If you run your program again to email the same document, you may add a 2nd subject. If this is the case, you can remove the subject after your SNDDST command.

    SNDDST with Subject

Thank you, Mark! I was confused when I saw that the SUBJECT parm of SNDDST has no effect when attaching a file to the e-mail (it works only for *LMSG, I think). I would have never find out by myself the solution you gave. Some users will now be happy ) Thanks again.

Hi, Is there a way to send an e-mail with an attached document (*DOC type), and having a different subject than the default one (the name of the document)? Cris

Actually, you can use the DOCD() parameter of snddst to control the subject.
