No of records for a overriden file

Hi, Could somebody please tell me how to find a number of records for a overriden file and its particular member? The member on the file is created dynamically and is overriden and I need to get the number of records of that file and that member. I have tried RTVMBRD but was not successful. Some CL code showing what you did and the results you got when you tried RTVMBRD is probably going to be needed because of the ambiguity of what's being done to what. rd
