Access from webfaced app to data inside firewall?

We've set up a small website outside the firewall for access by the public. The data is refreshed every evening. Now, our users want access the production iSeries which is behind the firewall. Does any know the best approach? Is it possible to access the production data inside the firewall from the iSeries running the webfaced app outside the firewall. Or, should we move the webfaced app inside the FW and access it from a proxy server outside the firewall. Or, ... Thank you. Tom
