  • Interacting between a web browser and the iSeries

Hi, I'm new to the CGI arena so just feeling my way around the numerous posts on the subject. The requirement I have is to develop a process (using free-format RPG) initiated by a "get" request from a web browser that will extract the "data" elements from the associated URL and return the established results in an xml file. With that as a very brief requirement could you tell me the relevant CGIDEV2 procedures I'd be looking to use to (a) read the data elements from the URL and (b) produce the results into the xml file please? Many thanks, Andy.

    Making progress...

Hi, well I've worked out how to get the parameters out of the url... I can get the results easily enough from the iSeries... so now I'm on with loading the results into an xml file ready to return to the web browser. Although I'm still open to someone telling me if I'm doing this properly?
