System i Access and Tablet PC

I’ve recently installed System i Access for Windows (V5R4 w/latest SP) on a tablet PC. Everything seems to work correctly except the character pad and writing pad with 5250 sessions. If I use the tablet PC keyboard input panel, the input appears on my 5250 session; however, if I use the character or writing pad, the input does not appear. The behavior is the same whether I use the insert button on the input panel or if I tap in the area where I want the input to appear. If anyone has any suggestions, I’d love to hear them.
