I think this is a good article to introduce the concepts of activation groups. However, I think some level of WARNING about casually introducing activation groups into any existing application that uses commitment control is very important, because commitment control is "scoped" to the activation group. So, if you introduce multiple activation groups into an application that uses COMMIT and ROLLBACK, it may no longer behave as expected. For example, consider what will happen if some files are opened in one activation group, while other files may now be opened in a newly introduced activation group (whether named or *NEW).
