    I guess I really am showing my age . You're right, %KDS is the better technique. Although the two are very similar on the surface, once you add in qualified data structures and even more importantly to me, the ability to specify the number of key fields, then yes, %KDS is better. I'll try to do another article on data structures and their uses and I'll touch on %KDS. It really is a nice feature, although it does still have the downside of putting the keys somewhere else in the program. Joe
