We have a Vb program which writes dataq records. When first running the Vb app, we get prompted for a 400 userid and password, which is fine, but the app wants to connect to the 400 using the System Name as the connection. I am already connected to the 400 with CA via it's IP address. Does anyone know why VB (ADO) is trying to open a system-name connection and not utilising the existing connection? The connection string is strConn = "provider=IBMDA400;data source=192.168.xxx.xxx" Thanks in advance, Neil.
