  • Eliminating Joblogs for Batch jobs

Can someone tell me how to get the joblogs not to generate for batch jobs? The machine was moved to a new location and now joblogs are generated for all batch jobs, even the ones that finish normally. I had this turned off before they moved the machine, but now I can't remember what I did so long ago. AS400 V4R3. I looked at some other messages talking about CHGJOBD, but the job names are all different. Is there a way to just do that for batch jobs regardless of job name? Is there a system value (security setting) or something. Thanks for the help.

what you probably did was change the job descriptions you use to have a logging level of (4 00 *nolist) and set the log cl commands to *no. This will eliminate any joblogs for any job except when there is an error and the job abnormally terminates.
