Marv, What type of object is being created? I suspect that the object is a directory or a stream file. The Security Reference manual says: "The *GRPPRF parameter is ignored for all file systems except QSYS.LIB. In cases where the parameter is ignored, the user retains ownership of the object." I have a user whose profile is Group profile . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : QUSER Owner . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : *GRPPRF Group authority . . . . . . . . . . . . . : *NONE Group authority type . . . . . . . . . . . : *PRIVATE To me this says any objects created by this person should be owned by Quser. Yet I see they are not. When they create something, the user profile is listed as the owner. Why? This appeared to be a clear straightforward parameter.

You are correct. They are stream files being created. Thank you
