  • Help with IFS security

I am using CPYTOIMPF and am having some problems with rights to the resulting file. The command is running in a CL program owned by QSECOFR with USRPRF(*OWNER). The file in the IFS is owned by the user who submitted the job but programmers can not do anything with the resulting file. I am attempting to change the owner with CHGOWN but I get error - Not authorized to user profile QPGMR. How can I accomplish this? Thank you, Keith

Have the same CL program do a CHGAUT to then give the programmers the proper authority. Chris

If the file resides in QDLS, you may change many of the attributes with the CHGDOCD command. This includes access. I am not aware if CHGDOCD will work on files outside of QDLS. Dave
