Just curious about farming: Does the United States still feed a good portion of the world, or is that being outsourced also?
I just returned from the mid west while enjoying a 1 week vacation and had an interesting conversation with a stranger from Hastings, Nebraska. I had asked him this same question regarding farming/outsourcing and he felt confident that the mid west was still playing a significant role in exporting produce. However, he seemed a little concerned about the United States selling farming technology abroad and felt strongly about China being the country to be paying special attention to.
