We would like to to use symbols in our passwords (more choices than @, _, $, # as well as increase the maximum to more than 10. I'm wondering if a Password Validation Program could be used for this. If so, have any of you had experience in using a PVP? What problems have you encountered when using a PVP? Do you know of any IBM sites which would assist me in setting this up? Thanks all!

Password Validation Program
A password validation program alone wouldn't be enough. 10 alphanumeric characters is a system limit. You'd need to change the system value QPWDLVL to 2 or 3 to enable longer passwords that allow more characters. Then you could validate those with a program if you wanted.
