We have an enterprise edition 520 and received the strange message below. Can anyone explain it? --------------------------------------------------------- Message . . . . : Interactive activity approaching installed capacity. Cause . . . . . : The interactive capacity installed on this system is capable of using 100.0 percent of the total system processing power for interactive work (applications that use a 5250-like datastream to communicate with the workstation). Interactive activity on this system has exceeded the threshold value of 100.0 percent of the total system processing power. If the interactive workload is allowed to increase, interactive response times may become erratic and total system throughput may be diminished due to the overhead incurred when the interactive threshold is exceeded. This message will be repeated every 60 minutes until the amount of interactive activity on the system is reduced below the threshold value. Recovery . . . : Examine the interactive work on the system and determine if it can be reduced. If not, an upgrade of the interactive capacity may be required to achieve optimal throughput as the interactive workload grows. If the QPFRADJ system value is set to '2' or '3,' you may need to adjust the tuning priority and the faults per second guidelines for the *BASE and *INTERACT pools. Use the Work with Shared Storage Pools (WRKSHRPOOL) command to display the shared pool information. From this display, press F11 to show the tuning data. Type the desired values for Priority and Faults/Second, and then press Enter. Additional interactive analysis can be achieved using the Performance Monitor capabilities of Management Central in the iSeries Navigator product

Maybe some interactive jobs are looping? I think on EE systems you have all the CPW available for interactive work, no "interactive tax".
