  • Purging objects from IFS

I use QSH to do it - I too took this from an article.. here's the code, just change the IFS folder name on the "Find" command and make sure that the TEMPFILE= is set to to valid folder and it should work.

    Purging objects from IFS

I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this but I figure someone would know the answer. I used to know this and even had a utility to do this but that was a few years ago and I seem to have lost everything. I want to list the objects in a folder or path on the IFS. Then I want to check the create date and time. If the object is older that x days/hours/months whatever the duration criteria may be, I want to delete it. This is something that will most likely be running in the background on the iSeries. Anybody have a sample utility or know the api's that I am going to need to use? TIA
