    You only have to change the authority for user *PUBLIC for both the objects QIXAMLF1 and QIXAMLF2

      You may have to grant yourself, or a programming group, authority to these files. However, debugging is a priviledged level of access. In addition, these are system level objects, and in addition to that, blindly granting authority to *PUBLIC is an incredibly bad idea, no matter what kind of object it is. I suggest you disregard the suggestion, posted in this thread, that you grant *PUBLIC authority to these *FILEs. It goes against every security best practice there is. If you want further information on what security best practices are, you can read up on the COBIT material online.

        I try to use STRISDB to debug a RPG program and get the following error message : "Not authorized to object QIXAMLF1 in QIXA type *FILE. " What should I do to solve this problem?
