I have a problem with a third party PC application accessing data through the iSeries ODBC driver. I am using DSPJRN output type 1 to output to an outfile. I then retreive this from the third party app. However, when I view the data, it is reporting the JOESD column on the output file as a data type Char() for bit data. It then displays it incorrectly. Is there an option in the ODBC driver that will convert this on the fly to a CHAR? or is there some other work around (other than writing an RPG that move s the outfile contents to a second file).
