Another net hoax. Here's a good site to verify emails that have been forwarded (sometimes to the nth degree): www.snopes2.com For this particular subject, click on "Rumors of War" and scroll down to the Oliver North reference. What's interesting is some of the myths/rumors/hoaxs circulated thru email have been resurrected from some years ago, with a different twist. To quote that great American philosopher, Ronald Reagan: "Verify, then trust"! Cheers! Bob

Shocking! - 15 years ago - What Gov't knew about Osama bin Laden
Thanks for the quick rumor control. Also, thanks for the http://www.snopes2.com link. Next time that I think I've been handed a nice juicy one, looks like I should do some verification before passing it on. Too bad there is no way for me to just go back into this forum and delete the false rumor. ----------------------------- Brian - You have my permission to delete this thread. Then again, maybe it does serve a useful purpose as an example of rumor control plus the useful http://www.snopes2.com link that helps in serving that purpose. ----------------------------- Bob - Wasn't that Ronald Reagan quote "Trust, but verify"?
