  • Problems with spool files stuck in a

We are having trouble getting AS/400 reports to print on a remote printer, although anything from Excel, Microsoft Word, Access works. We have tried all the suggestions found in this forum w/no luck. We saw the mistake that was made when we first created the outq. We had used the parameter *OS400 instead of *OTHER for the destination type, and have corrected it. We have not IPL'd since we made this change. Do we need to do another IPL for the changes to take effect? Or should we delete the outq and recreate it? Diana

    IMO Delete, and recreate. Dave

In general Diana you do not have to 're-boot' the 400 for changes to take effect. Save the spool files in the outq if you re-create it. bobh

Bob, Thanks for reminding me to save my spool files. I think I would have deleted them in my haste to get this problem solved. A big thanks to both you and Dave. Diana
