Hi, How come we have to use the STRRMTWTR command almost on a daily basis to start our remote printers? What makes them "stop" or "end" ? Is there any way to prevent them from "ending" ? I used the following command to create one of our out queues: CRTOUTQ OUTQ(QUSRSYS/OWBPLJ5PC2) RMTSYS(*INTNETADR) RMTPRTQ('OWBPLJ5PC2') CNNTYPE(*IP) DESTTYPE(*OTHER) MFRTYPMDL(*HP5SI) INTNETADR('167.237.106.240') Thank you. STRRMTWTR
Did you leave the value of AUTOSTRWTR at the default when you created the output queue?? The default is *NONE. For our Remote Writer(s) most of which have a single printer attached to an outq, we specify 1. The valid values are between 1 - 10. With the setup the way that we have them, we never issue the STRRMTWTR. Good luck.
