Rick: 1) What does the job log state is the cause of the VRYCFG command failure? You are producing a job log for the startup program, correct? 2) Just to make sure, you stated "We have placed the VRYCFG *NWS *ON ..." , you are executing the command using a configuration object name, correct? (I looked at the VRYCFG command, It requires a config object name.)

We are wanting to start our INS automatically after an IPL. We have placed the VRYCFG *NWS *ON near the end of the QTRUP. But---it fails to start. After the IPL completes, we manually do the very same VRYCFG command, and the INS starts. What gives? Any suggestions?? Rick--
